SARASOTA, Fla. -- Elloyd Alfred Hauser, 68, of Sarasota, Fla., died Wednesday from complications related to lung cancer.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church (West Campus), 7150 Rolling Acres Road in Victoria.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Memorials are preferred.
He was born March 25, 1940, to Alfred and Alta (Henslin) Hauser and raised on a farm near Raymond. He graduated from St. Cloud State and worked as an industrial arts teacher.
He married Darlene Lorenz on Oct. 20, 1962, in Raymond. He was an entrepreneur and was instrumental in developing the bearer draft rebate check in the early 1980s which led to a 25-year career in payment processing with Solutran.
He is survived by his wife; children: Carmen (and Barry) Nordstrand, Dawn (and Joe) Keller, Kari (and Wayne) Hawkins and Brad (and Kathleen) Hauser, all of the Twin Cities; 13 grandchildren; brother: Eldon Hauser of Willmar; and sisters: Arlys Lindgren of Willmar and Susan Hauser of Minneapolis.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
