Ethyl L. Dahlseid June 27, 1912 - July 21, 2009
WILLMAR -- Ethyl L. Dahlseid, 97, of Willmar died Tuesday at Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home in Willmar.
The service is at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Evangelical Free Church Chapel in Willmar. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Evangelical Free Church.
She was born June 27, 1912, near Great Falls, Mont., to Martin and Anna (Martinson) Berg. Her family later moved to Willmar and she graduated from Willmar High School in 1930. She attended teacher's college and taught for seven years in rural Kandiyohi County schools.
On Oct. 5, 1940, she married Murville Dahlseid in Willmar. They lived in Willmar. She had resided at Bethesda Pleasant View since 2007.
She was a charter member of the Evangelical Free Church in Willmar. She served on the library board and taught Sunday school for 12 years. She was also active in Bible study, women's organizations and on several committees.
She is survived by two sons: Dann (and Karen) Dahlseid of Spicer and Griff (and Connie) Dahlseid of Willmar; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister: Carol (and Phillip) Syverson of Des Moines, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981 and two sisters.
