SPRING LAKE PARK -- Eunice Lucille Hallblade, 91, of Blaine, died Monday in Coon Rapids.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Emmanuel Christian Center in Spring Lake Park.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.

She was born March 17, 1918, in Willmar to William and Bessie (Valentine) Krueger. She grew up on a farm and attended a country school through eighth grade. She took her first job at age 15 as a housekeeper in Willmar.

She married the Rev. Severin Hallblade on June 4, 1937. She worked alongside her husband in pastoring Assemblies of God churches in Montevideo, Pine Island and Owatonna. She also taught piano lessons.

After retiring in 1967, they moved to Spring Lake Park and she worked at Woolworth's department store in Northtown Mall, and then as a food demonstrator at grocery stores. She moved to the Cloverleaf Courts apartments in Blaine three years ago. She was diagnosed with liver cancer in early February, and moved to Camilia Rose nursing home in Coon Rapids.

She was a member of the Emmanuel Christian Center. She had played the piano for weekly services as well as special events at Cloverleaf Courts.

She is survived by three sons: Larry (and Grace) of Brainerd, Eldon (and Susan) of Silver Springs, Fla., and Don (and Barbara) of Coon Rapids; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother: Veryl; and four sisters: Vila, Delores, Opal and Betty.

She was preceded in death by six siblings.
