LITCHFIELD -- Eva Mary Provencher, 94, of Litchfield, died Tuesday at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Litchfield. Burial will be in Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield. Memorials preferred to the United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and for one hour before the service.
She was born April 22, 1914, in Greenleaf Township, Meeker County, to James and Emily (Johnson-Sundeen) Manning.
She married Lee Provencher on Aug. 25, 1942, in Litchfield. She taught in rural schools for 20 years and they farmed southwest of Litchfield until 1973 when they moved closer to Litchfield. They ran a fertilizer and chemical company and retired in 2001. She was a member of the Litchfield United Methodist Church and active with United Methodist Women and the Esther Circle. She was a member of the Rural Teachers of Meeker County.
She is survived by her children: Lance Provencher of Litchfield, Van (and Marcia) Provencher of Litchfield, Evalee (and Tom) Risley of St. Cloud; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, one sister and three brothers.
