KANDIYOHI -- Evelyn Beatrice Erickson, 92, of Kandiyohi, died Saturday at GlenOaks Care Center in New London.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Church of St. Patrick in Kandiyohi. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
She was born Dec. 27, 1916, in Willmar to Herman and Minnie (Halvorson) Krueger. She received her education in Willmar.
On Nov. 27, 1938, she married Arnold Erickson and they made their home on a farm near Kandiyohi. She became a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in 1949. She was a pianist and played at the Odd Fellows Lodge and the Elks Lodge during the 1930s and for a few years at St Patrick's Catholic Church. In 2001 and 2002, she played with the Spicer "Old Time Band" on Monday nights at the Dethlefs Senior Center in Spicer.
She is survived by one son: Charles Erickson of Kandiyohi; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; one sister; and a daughter-in-law: Patricia Erickson in 2005.
