MILAN -- Evelyn Bertina Hoff, 98, formerly of Milan, died Thursday at the Clara City Care Center.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
She was born Dec. 16, 1910, in Wang Township, Chippewa County, to Henry and Anne (Huseby) Grove. She attended rural school in District 14.
She married Clarence Hoff on Sept. 5, 1929, in Granite Falls. They lived in Maynard and Sacred Heart before moving to Milan in 1940. She lived in Milan until moving to Clara City in 1998 and was currently a resident of the Clara City Care Center.
She was a member of Kviteseid Lutheran Church and active in Bible studies and quilting for LWR. She was a member of the Jolly Jabbers in Milan and helped cook and operate the family restaurant.
She is survived by a daughter: Lynette (and Cory) Rens of Maynard; son: Charles (and Kathy) Hoff of Prior Lake; a son-in-law: Harvey Schuman of Oakes, N.D.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister: Bertha Schulte of Williston, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence in 1985; daughter: Kathryn Schuman; two grandsons; three sisters; and three brothers.
