Evelyn (Hauge) Caspers, 82, away Friday, July 18, 2014 in Clara City, MN. The Clara City, MN funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in Clara City at the Bethany Reformed Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Watertown, SD funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel in Watertown with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown.

Evelyn Jean (Hauge) Caspers, daughter of Hans and Edith (Dybdahl) Husby, was born August 29, 1931 in Volga, SD. She attended school at Oslo #95 at Volga and graduated in 1949 from Sinai High School, Sinai, SD.

She married David Hauge in 1951 in Cheyenne, WY. They lived in Cheyenne, Brookings and Sioux Falls, SD until moving to Watertown in 1961. Evelyn was employed by Gray Construction as a bookkeeper for 31 years. After David died, Evelyn married George Caspers September 11, 1993 and she moved to Clara City, MN.

She was previously a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown and had served on the Board of Education, and taught Sunday School for a number of years.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, George Caspers of Clara City; her daughters, Eileen (Jack Haroutunian) Hauge of Denver, CO, Sharon (Mark) Hasvold of Rapid City, SD; her son, David D. (Lori) Hauge of Watertown, SD; 5 stepchildren, Lois DeGraw of Shoreview, MN, Audrey (Jim) Koenen of Clara City, MN, Colleen Caspers of Willmar, MN, Judy (Mark) Thompson of Spicer, MN Bryan (Kristi) Caspers of Raymond, MN; 3 sisters, Donna Lange of Sioux Falls, SD, Joyce Arndt of Minneapolis, MN and Clair (Edel Johnson) Husby of Arlington, SD; sister-in-law, Mylis Husby of Sioux, Falls, SD; 5 grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; 1 daughter, Nancy Hauge; 2 sisters, Mavis Quam and Lorraine Matson; and 3 brothers, Harold, Roger and Jewel Husby.
