Evelyn Krueger April 3, 1916 - July 6, 2009
WILLMAR -- Evelyn Clarice Krueger, 93, of Willmar, died Monday at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Assembly of God in Willmar. Burial will be in Cloverleaf Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to the service at church.
She was born April 3, 1916, in Benson to Christian and Inga (Peterson) Lee. She grew up north of Benson near Lake Hassel. She graduated from Benson High School in 1934 and attended North Central Bible College. She worked at the Chase Hotel in Walker during summer breaks from college.
She married Orville Krueger on Sept. 18, 1940, in Willmar. They lived in Willmar until they bought a farm south of Kandiyohi. She worked as a cook for a number of years at Champlin Café and Bethesda Heritage. In 1979, they retired, sold the farm and moved to Willmar. They were members of the Assembly of God.
She is survived by her children: Gary (and Ann) Krueger of Willmar, Valerie (and Philip) McLeod of Phoenixville, Pa., Gaylan (and Cindy) Krueger of Willmar, Patricia (and Steve) Quernemoen of Elbow Lake, Dayton (and Kathy) Krueger of Willmar; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother: Chester Lee of Benson.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997, one infant grandson and three sisters.
