WILLMAR -- Evelyn Marie Fullerton, 90, of Willmar, died Nov. 6, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Willmar. A private burial will be in the Lundby Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday with a 7 p.m. Eastern Star Service at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the United Methodist Church Care Committee.
She was born Oct. 10, 1918, in Walworth, Wis., to Ever and Catherine (Lambert) Peterson. She grew up in Ottawa, Ill., and graduated from Ottawa High School. She attended Beauty College in LaSalle, Ill., and worked as a beautician in Ottawa.
She married Nathan Fullerton, Jr. on Nov. 14, 1938. They farmed near Norway, Ill., until 1949 when they moved to a farm near Amboy and in 1956 to a farm east of Blomkest. They moved into Willmar in 1991. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Willmar, the Order of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary, AARP and Willmar Area Senior Citizens. She was also a 4-H leader and disabled swimming volunteer.
She is survived by her children: Phyllis (and Don) Shaw of Spicer, Lynn (and Darrell) Steberg of Lahaina, Hawaii, Christine Fullerton (and Bruce Miller ) of Hayward, Wis., and Robert (and Cenen) Fullerton of Houston; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother: Mervin (and Elsie) Peterson of Charlotte, N.C..
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999; four brothers; two sisters; a grandson; and a daughter-in-law.
