Ex-Willmar players meet as coaches in state hockey

ST. PAUL -- Blaine (25-3-1) and Eden Prairie (26-3) will meet at 6 p.m. in the Class AA boys hockey semifinal round at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Both teams are coached by Willmar graduates. Lee Smith (1984) is in his 16th season coaching the Eagles; Dave Aus, a 1987 graduate, has the Bengals in the state tournament a fourth straight year.
