Chippewa County Historical Society
The Chippewa County Historical Society has several sites that will be open for the summer. Admission prices are adults $4, ages 6-18 $2, and 5 and under will be admitted free; 320-269-7636.
Chippewa City: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, 1 to 5 p.m. weekends and holidays; junction of state Highway 7 and U.S. Highway 59 in Montevideo; re-creation of a turn-of-the-century town with 23 buildings.
Olaf Swensson Farm Museum: 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays through Labor Day, or by appointment; six miles east of Montevideo on state Highway 7, then five miles south on County Road 15.

The Yellow Medicine County Historical Society will have an ice cream social at 2 p.m. Sunday at the museum in Granite Falls; music by Jerry Ostensoe, learn the history of the Hazel Run Bandstand built in 1918 and more; freewill donation.
