According to Renville County Chief Deputy Doug Pomplun, the man was arrested by the Granite Falls Police Department with assistance from the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's office.

The name of the man is being withheld until charges are filed.

Law enforcement officials had asked farmers to be wary of the man, reportedly a farm lubricant company salesman who is no longer employed by his company and is asking people to write checks to him personally. He would cash the checks but not deliver any products to the purchaser.

Anyone who believes they have been a victim of this crime is urged to contact their local law enforcement.
