Faced with a crumbling basement foundation, the high cost of heating the structure for their once-a-month meetings and the occasional bats that interrupted town board meetings, Lake Andrew township residents voted last year to build a new, $150,000 town hall on the same property. The old town hall building, constructed in 1912, will now reside at the Earl and Eldora Peterson farm, about a mile north of the location pictured above on County Road 5.
