Fatal Cosmos crash under investigation

COSMOS -- The death of a driver in a one-vehicle crash discovered around 11:20 a.m. Monday along State Highway 4 south of Cosmos is under investigation by the State Patrol and the Meeker County Sheriff's office.

According to a news release from Sheriff Jeff Norlin, the 1996 Chevrolet Corsica crashed into a drainage ditch near the intersection of Highway 4 and county Road 7. The driver, whose name hasn't been released pending family notification and further investigation, was ejected from the vehicle.

The vehicle was reported stolen in Sibley County on Saturday.
