MONTEVIDEO -- Fern Larson, 88, of Montevideo died Monday at the Luther Haven Nursing Home.
The service is at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church Thursday for one hour before the service. Arrangements are by the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1920, in Big Bend Township, Chippewa County, to Knute and Tilla (Kittleson) Angrimson. She attended school in District 11.
On Oct. 14, 1940, she married Lloyd Larson in Montevideo. She worked for many years as a cook in various local restaurants. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and its altar guild, VFW Auxiliary and a homemakers club.
She is survived by her five children: Loraye (and Jim) Backer of Hancock, Jerry (and Donna) Larson of Granite Falls, Betty (and Ron) Ulferts of Raymond, Debra (and Bob) Lauritsen of Montevideo and Cynthia Kleven of Montevideo; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and siblings: Nancy Sittin of Washington and Donald Angrimson of Atwater.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002, three grandsons, a great-granddaughter, four brothers and two sisters.
