WILLMAR - The 5k run starting at the Flags of Honor and ending at Virgil Olson Beach keeps growing.

Saturday's race posted 212 finishers, up 16 from than last year's 10th Annual Memorial/Law Day 5k when a record 196 competitors ran. The first race in 2000 drew 42 finishers.

Andy Regnier of Redwood Falls was the overall winner while Jessica Martinez of Willmar was the first female to the finish line at Robbins Island on a breezy, cloudless 70-degree morning.
