Three Ridgewater College students brave the cold Monday to ice fish on Foot Lake near County Road 41. It was the first ice fishing session for the trio that included, from left, Kyle Hoffman, from Lafayette, who is in the electrician program, Zack Newbarth of Brownton, who is studying physical education, and Joe Doubler of Walnut Grove, who is studying ag business. They had been on the ice for about an hour as the sun was setting. They reported they had to cut through six to eight inches of ice to fish. ...
