Fire crews battling 80-acre blaze north of Sunburg

SUNBURG -- Firefighters from four area fire departments are on the scene of a grassland fire north of Sunburg.

According to Tribune reporter Carolyn Lange, who is on the scene, Sunburg, New London, Brooten and Willmar fire crews are using grass rigs in attempts to extinguish the fire, along 285th Avenue Northwest in the far northwest corner of Kandiyohi County. An estimated 80 acres has already burned and the fire continues to burn.
