Mention the Fourth of July and most people immediately think of fireworks. From the fireworks over the Mall in Washington, D.C., to the Taste of Minnesota fireworks in the Twin Cities, almost every large city has a fireworks show.

West central Minnesota has its share, and they are spread out over four days this year.

The accompanying photos are of the Willmar Stingers post-game fireworks Wednesday night in Willmar.

Tonight, Prairies Edge Casino in Granite Falls will conclude their Family Fun Night with fireworks at dusk.

Maynard and Spicer will both have a fireworks display beginning at dusk on Friday with Spicer’s set off over Green Lake.

Paynesville will finish the weekend with fireworks at dusk on Saturday. They will be set off from First Island in Lake Koronis. Boaters are asked to stay 1,000 feet back from the island.
