The area includes Worthington, Mankato, Redwood Falls, Willmar, St. Cloud and the Twin Cities.

The cold front that was over the upper Midwest will slowly move east by Thursday afternoon, with showers and thunderstorms developing along and east of the front, especially later today and tonight.

Rainfall events will vary from 2 to 3 inches, with a few areas exceeding 3 inches. Localized flooding is possible in flood-prone areas, with the potential for rapidly rising streams and flooded ditches.

Citizens are asked to monitor forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flooding warnings be issued.
