Florence B. A. Reu July 6, 1918 - Jan. 16, 2009
BENSON -- Florence Bertha Augusta Reu, 90, of Benson died Friday at Golden Living Center-Meadow Lane Health Care Center in Benson.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Benson. Burial will be in Appleton City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church and will continue for one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are by Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
She was born July 6, 1918, in Tara Township, Swift County, to Carl and Augusta (Bartz) Erdman. She grew up north of Holloway and attended school in District 80 until the eighth grade.
She married Harold Reu on Oct. 11, 1940. They farmed north of Holloway until Harold's death in 1970. She then moved to Benson where she worked at Meadow Lane Healthcare Center and Benson High School as a cook for many years.
She was a member of the women's guild.
She is survived by a brother: Wilbert (and Deloris) Erdman of Benson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
