MORRIS -- Florence Elerine Lucken, 90, of Wadena, formerly of Morris, died Thursday at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena.
The service will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morris. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris. Arrangements are with the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris.
She was born Jan. 16, 1918, in Hillsboro, N.D.
She grew up in the Fargo area attended school there through the 10th grade. She worked as a file clerk at the welfare department and later at a creamery in Fargo candling eggs.
She married Roy Lucken on June 25, 1938 in Detroit Lakes. They moved to Detroit and she worked at the Cadillac Company, which was then converted to a defense plant making parts for the war, until 1943. She moved back to Fargo in 1944 when Roy was shipped to England with the Army. She worked part time in a factory in Fargo. They moved to Morris in 1946. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Morris.
She is survived by her daughter: Sharon (and Elroy) Podratz of Wadena, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2006; her son: Rick in 1997; and all of her siblings.
