MARSHALL -- Florence Springer, 90, of Marshall, formerly of Granite Falls, died Thursday at her daughter's home in Marshall.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Marshall. Burial will be at a later date in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Granite Falls.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
She was born March 31, 1918, in Woonsocket, S.D., to Henry and Amelia Spies. She grew up and attended school in Woonsocket, later moving with her parents to Granite Falls.
She married Henry Springer on Aug. 24, 1940, in Granite Falls. They lived and farmed in Sioux Agency Township. They retired in 1988, moving into Granite Falls where she worked at the Granite Bakery. They moved to Marshall in 1993.
She is survived by her children: David (and Patricia) Springer of Granite Falls; Debra (and Vince) Ertl of Marshall; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002 and eight siblings.
