Florine Miller March 1, 1921 - Sept. 3, 2008

LUCAN -- Florine "Toots" Dorothy Miller, 87, formerly of Redwood Falls and Lucan, died Wednesday at her home in Mankato.

The services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lucan. Burial will be in Crestlawn Gardens in Redwood Falls.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and for one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church.

She was born March 1, 1921, in Sheridan Township, Redwood County, to Clyde and Agnes (Fuhr) Davis. She attended local schools and graduated from Wabasso High School in 1937.

She married Maynard "Mike" Miller on Sept. 10, 1940 in Seaforth. They farmed in the Lucan area until 2001 when they moved to Redwood Falls. She was a seamstress, sewing everything from wedding gowns to full walls of draperies. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she served in the women's organization, was a Sunday school teacher and a choir member.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters: Sandy (and Tom) Christensen of Prescott, Ariz., and Gloria (and John) Anderson of Madison Lake; four grandsons; three great-grandsons and one sister: Betty (and Hubert) Sickmann of Locustgrove, Va.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
