OLIVIA -- F&M Bank Minnesota of Olivia announces it will remodel the banking facility located in downtown Olivia. The original bank building was built 35 years ago and is being remodeled to be more user-friendly, President Jon Butler said.

"We are excited about the remodel for our customers, community, and staff alike,'' Butler said. "We will be updating the existing space, which will also accommodate a community room that will be accessible to people and groups in the area."

The architects, Vanman Architects and Builders, have been working closely to meet those needs, he said. The remodeling will include an elevator, allowing the second floor to become more accessible for customers and community.

"These updates will enhance our strong commitment to the community, customer service and allow us to remain true to our values and communities we serve," says Butler.

CEO Steve Lindholm added, "There is tremendous potential here. We want to be an important part of future opportunities for farmers, agribusiness and the Olivia community now and in the future. This is a significant investment for us consistent with significant opportunities we envision."

According to Vanman Architects and Builders, the remodeling project will emphasize a friendly and approachable facility to welcome customers to the bank. In addition, a new entry and canopy facing the street will give the bank a pedestrian-friendly sidewalk entrance.

Throughout the renovation, the bank will remain open and banking business will be run as normal without any interruption in service to F&M Bank customers.
