Four to hospital after Saturday crash

PENNOCK -- Four people were transported to Rice Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident around 11:30 a.m. Saturday along U.S. Highway 12.

According to the State Patrol, a 1998 Saturn driven by Dana Rae Nelson, 21, of Alexandria, was southbound on County Road 7 and failed to stop at the intersection with Highway 12. Her car collided with a 2003 Ford Windstar driven by Joel C. Laskey, 42, of Kerkhoven.

Each vehicle contained a passenger. Joanna M. Desautels, 21, of Alexandria, was a passenger in Nelson's vehicle. Melissa Michele Dawn, 43, of Kerkhoven, was a passenger in Laskey's vehicle.
