Four injured in early morning accident
COTTONWOOD -- Four people were injured in a one-vehicle accident early this morning on the south edge of Cottonwood.
According to the State Patrol the driver of a 2003 GMC Envoy, Sara Mares, 32, of Marshall, hit a patch of ice on state Highway 23, lost control of the vehicle and rolled in the ditch.
Mares and three passengers, Jose Mares, 48, Saul Zuniga, 41, and Claudia Covarrubigs, 33, all of Marshall, received minor injuries.
There was no alcohol detected in any of the individuals.
The incident as reported at 12:47 a.m. The Lyon County Sheriff's Department and the State Patrol responded to the accident.
