Franklin man to hospital after crash west of Morton

MORTON -- A 55-year-old Franklin man was treated and released from Redwood Falls Hospital after a two-vehicle accident around 2:35 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and County Road 2 west of Morton.

According to the State Patrol, Chong H. Minkel was driving a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer, lost control of the vehicle and struck a 2006 Cadillac Escalade driven by Alissa A. Mattison, 21, of Delhi. Neither Mattison nor the passenger in the vehicle, Debra E. Mattison, 47, of Delhi, were injured.
