Free tickets to Saturday's Twins game available to local veterans
The first 50 Kandiyohi County veterans to call the Veterans Service Office in Willmar will get a free ticket and bus ride to Saturday's Minnesota Twins baseball game.
Nearly 30 buses from central Minnesota will be traveling to Target Field as part of the second annual Harmon Killebrew Hospice Day to watch the Twins will play the Kansas City Royals.
A bus will leave Willmar at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday as part of the caravan and will drive to Glenwood to tailgate with Bert and Gayle Blyleven and Nita Killebrew.
Kandiyohi County Veterans Service Officer Trish Appeldorn said a local individual has purchased 50 tickets to that game that are available for free to county veterans.
To sign up, call the VSO office at 320-231-6226 by noon on Wednesday.
Participants will receive a free meal, a hospice wristband, T-shirt and goodie bag at the tailgate party.
