Game Summarty: KMS wins Class A, defeating Royalton 33-22

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg defeated Royalton 33-22 for the Minnesota Prep Bowl Class A Football Championship Friday.


Update 2:55 p.m.

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg scored a touchdown against Royalton in the fourth quarter in the Minnesota Prep Bowl Class A Football Championship game. The PAT failed, but KMS had built their lead to 33-22 over Royalton.


Update 2:48 p.m.

Royalton scored at the end of the third quarter to answer Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg's two touchdowns in the same period in the Minnesota Prep Bowl Class A Football Championship game.


Update 2:47 p.m.

Royalton scored on a quarterback sneek from the 1-yard line to score with 34 seconds remaining in the third quarter. The two-point conversion was successful. KMS holds a 27-21 lead.


Update 2:40 p.m.

KMS running back Joel Bauman ran for a 67-yard touchdown run at 2:58 in the third for his second touchdown of the game. The PAT was wide. KMS holds at 27-14 lead.


Update 2:30 p.m.

KMS quarter back Kevin Steinhaus hit Aaron Zimmer on a 39-yard pass for a touchdown at 8:40 in the third quarter to take the lead. The PAT was good for a 21-14 lead:


Update 2:20 p.m.

The second half play has started in the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg game for in the Minnesota Prep Bowl Class A Football Championship game.


Update 2:00 p.m.

Royalton and Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg are tied 14-14 at halftime in the Minnesota Prep Bowl Class A Football Championship game.


Update 1:55 p.m.

Royalton's Zack Lanners scored at 1:43 on a 43-yard touchdown run near the end of the second quarter and then scored two more on the conversion to tie the game at 14-14.


Update 1:49 p.m.

KMS' Mitch Hagen scored a touchdown on a three-yard run at the end of a 72-yard drive in the second quarter. The PAT was good and KMS took a 14-6 lead.


Update 1:23 p.m.

KMS junior Joe Bauman broke several tackles on a nine-yard run to score a touchdown in the last minute of the first quarter. The conversion was good and KMS moved to a 7-6 lead.


Update 1:23 p.m.

A Royalton running back fumbled the ball at 3:25 remaining in the first quarter. KMS recovered the ball.


Update 1:15 p.m.

Royalton scored an early touchdown Friday afternoon against Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg in the Class A State Football Championship game. Royalton leads 6-0.
