Garnett out, but Celtics neat Wolves anyway

BOSTON -- Kevin Garnett was home with the flu, so Paul Pierce had a chance to pretend that he was once again the Boston Celtics' only All-Star.

Pierce had 36 points, eight rebounds and six assists to help Boston extend its winning streak to 11 games with a 109-101 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
