Gary 'Butch' Moen April 4, 1951 - Oct. 9, 2008

MONTEVIDEO -- Gary Lee "Butch" Moen, 57, of Montevideo died Thursday at the St. Cloud Hospital.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hazel Run Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery near Granite Falls.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

He was born April 4, 1951, in Albert Lea to Raymond and Bette (Mills) Moen. He grew up in the Granite Falls area and graduated from Granite Falls High School.

He married DeVona Rorvig on Sept. 25, 1976, in Montevideo. He worked at Flinn's Salvage and at AMPI for many years.

He is survived by three children: Trina Moen (and fiancé Jason Heggestad) of Clara City, Janae (and Nicholas) Marshall of Canby, and Kara (and Jon) Bjornstad of Maynard; seven grandchildren; siblings: Jean (and Daniel) Hocum of Canby, Donna (and Ray) Haneca of Montevideo, and Vicky (and Roger) LaVoi of Sauk Rapids, John Moen of Montevideo, William (and Becky) Moen of Pequot Lakes, Mike (and Barb) Moen of Montevideo, Thomas (and Mary) Moen of Montevideo, Robert Moen of Belview, and Mark Moen of Montevideo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
