Gas prices in Minn. stable so far headed into summer

WILLMAR — Minnesota gas prices have been relatively stable so far heading into summer. In Minnesota gas prices dropped 1 cent in the past week, leaving average pump prices at $3.51 per gallon which is 12 cents lower than the national average of $3.63 per gallon, according to the most recent survey conducted by GasBuddy.com

Gas prices in 2014 have been consistently lower than prices in 2013 with gas in Minnesota being 20 cents lower this week than it was a year ago at this time.

“While I continue to hope for an eventual drop in gasoline prices, the more I’m starting to think that we just won’t see any sort of major summer decline like we have the last few years entering summer,” said Patrick DeHaan, Senior Petroleum Analyst for GasBuddy.com in a news release.
