WILLMAR -- George Raymond Majchrzak, 85, of New London died Wednesday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Spicer. His body was donated to the University of Minnesota Medical School. A burial will be held at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Cemetery in Spicer at a later date. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home in New London.
He was born April 21, 1923, in Duluth to Joseph and Veronica (Jezerski) Majchrzak. After his schooling, he entered the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
He married Rose Dey. They made their home in Minneapolis where he worked for the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport as a police officer.
He married Lorraine Brackett on Jan. 18, 1975. They made their home in Paynesville, Hawick and New London, where they retired and he did re-upholstery.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, the New London American Legion and Disabled American Veterans, Chapter No. 9 and New London Senior Citizens.
He is survived by his wife; children: Teri (and Dean) Anderson of Asheville, N.C., Nandra (and Bruce) Looman of Paynesville, John (and Barbara) Majchrzak of Lakeville and James (and Kelly) Majchrzak of Litchfield; step-daughter: Elizabeth (and Jerry) Dawson of Arizona; daughter-in-law: Diane Majchrzak of St. Cloud; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son: Joseph; a granddaughter; one brother; and three sisters.
