Minnesota Senate Republicans defeat $15.B public works bill

When she asked if the city of Willmar would be willing to lend a crew and equipment to decorate a 55-foot-tall evergreen tree outside Rice Care Center, activities director Allison Dirksen said she was told: "Merry Christmas.'' Making good on the holiday offer Thursday were public works employees Mike Vandeneinde, Curt Hein and Darin Niemeyer. They strung more than 400 feet of lighting on the tree.
