MORRIS -- Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City increased its West Central South Conference lead with a 55-34 win over Morris/Chokio-Alberta in girls basketball Monday.

The Falcons are 7-0 in the league (9-3 overall) and have a two-game advantage over the Tigers (5-2, 8-3).

ACGC shot 50 percent (21 of 42) from the field and had three players reach double digits in scoring. Miranda Hopp lead the way with 14 points, followed by Katie Knisley with 13 points and seven rebounds. Lauren Kinzler chipped in 11 points.

Morris/CA shot just 29 percent (12 of 41) from the floor. Nicole Gillespie scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds to lead the team.
