REDWOOD FALLS -- Bolting to a 13-0 lead, the Litchfield Dragons were in control all the way defeating Redwood Valley 83-54 on Monday in non-conference girls basketball.

Becky Smith poured in 20 points followed by Emily Davis with 17 and Brittany Euerle with 11 for the Dragons.

Litchfield's halftime total -- 53 points on 20-of-33 shooting -- and final output were both season highs. The Dragons' full-court press produced 25 Redwood Valley turnovers, including 15 steals.

The Cardinals (6-13) suffered their sixth straight defeat.

Thirteen players scored for Redwood Valley on Parents Night. Senior Ana Johnson with 13 points led followed by Grace Angermeyr, Jordan Olerud and Katie Smith each with seven.

Litchfield's Davis was 11-for-11 from free-throw line.

"That's the first time in my tenure that I've had someone make that many free throws without a miss," said coach Bill Huhner.

The Dragons' Sara Kalenberg came up with eight points, seven rebounds and three steals.

Ortonville 81, Monte 69

Brook Moseng scored a career-high 28 points for Montevideo, but Ortonville outscored the Thunder Hawks 41-25 in the second half. The Trojans shot 57 percent (34 of 60) from the field and outrebounded Montevideo 40-21.

Montevideo (6-12), which owned a 44-40 lead at halftime, also got 14 points from Kara Nelson and 11 points -- behind three 3-pointers -- from Hannah Wenaas.

Rebecca Hillman scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Ortonville, followed by Emily Sammon's 22 points.
