Girls Basketball: BBE surges past KMS

KERKHOVEN -- Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa rallied from a 15-point deficit to beat Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 60-51 in a non-conference girls basketball game Tuesday.

Heidi Lensing sparked the Jaguars (9-4) in the second half by netting 17 of her game-high 24 points. Lensing finished the game by going 12-for-12 from the free-throw line.

BBE also got 19 points from Emily Roelike, who drained four 3-pointers in the first half.

Sarah Carlson had 15 points, Bailey Carlson 11 and Demi Young 10 to pace KMS (5-9).

Jamie Wollin and Courtney Euerle each posted a double-double to power the Dragons (4-2, 8-4).

Wollin notched 27 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Euerle had 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Litchfield led 26-21 at halftime and then outscored GSL 36-18 in the second half.
