Girls basketball: Bluejays soar past Jaguars

PRINSBURG — Jaci Swart nearly outscored Renville County West by herself in the first half to help Central Minnesota Christian cruise to a 64-31 Camden Conference win Friday.

Swart netted nine consecutive points on a trio of three-pointers at one point in the first half and finished the first 18 minutes of play with 18 points. The senior guard wouldn’t score in the second half, but the Bluejays (2-3, 4-4) had already built a 37-20 lead at the break.

The Bluejays had three other players — nearly four — score in double figures; Dani Wubben with 11 and Christine Mikelson and Alexis Scott with 10 each. Scott added 9 rebounds and Karisa Wubben piled up 9 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals.

Sadie Treml with 14 points and Grace Robertson’s 7 rebounds paced the Jaguars (0-3, 1-4).
