Girls basketball: Falcons top Peterson, Braves

GROVE CITY — Benson’s Emma Peterson scored 40 points, but the Braves fell to Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 73-58 on Friday, who were led by 22 points from Sydney Larson and 16 from Katie Moore.
Larson posted a double-double with 11 rebounds, and Moore grabbed 6.
For the Braves, Peterson racked up 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals.
Benson wraps up its regular season hosting Osakis on Monday.
ACGC finishes its regular season at 8-7 in the conference and 11-13 overall.
The Falcons next play in the Section 2A quarterfinal on Feb. 26 at Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s.
