Girls Basketball: Hancock upsets Goodhue

MINNEAPOLIS -- Hancock overcame a 10-point deficit, 27 turnovers and an underdog role to upset top-ranked Goodue 58-54 in the quarterfinals of the Class A state girls basketball tournament Thursday at Williams Arena.

Kendra Schmidgall, after a quiet first half, led the Owls' second-half charge, scoring 15 of her 19 points to go along with a team-high 10 rebounds. Illissa Koehl also had 19 points for the Owls, 13 of those coming in the first half.
