Girls Basketball: Hieserich's 28 points lift BBE past Holdingford

BROOTEN -- Julie Hieserich scored a career-high 28 points, including four 3-pointers, as Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa topped Holdingford 71-61 in a Central Minnesota Conference game on Thursday.

With Holdingford deploying a box-and-one on Emily Roelike, who had 12 points, Hieserich was left open on the perimeter. Heidi Lensing contributed a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Jaguars (7-2, 12-7).

Rachel Nelson led Holdingford with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
