Girls Basketball: Holleman sparks Hancock to 69-54 win over Minneota

HANCOCK -- Bree Holleman scored 26 points to reach the 1,500-career point mark Saturday as Hancock defeated Minneota 69-54 in a non-conference girls basketball game.

Holleman, who also had eight rebounds, is the 21st girls basketball player from the area to score 1,500-or-more points.

Lindsie Cunningham added 19 points and Lauren Nelson 10 for the Owls (9-1), who made 9-of-11 three-pointers and 27-of-37 free throws.

Ashlynn Muhl had 16 points and 13 rebounds for Minneota (9-6) and Taya Kockelman tossed in 15 points.

Abby Fragodt hauled in 22 rebounds to go along with 19 points and five steals to power the Braves (9-6).

Jenny Bouta added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Braves. Julia Ahrndt chipped in 11 points.

Jordan Sis and Kelsey Jurgenson had 12 points each for the Blackjacks (7-9). Kristen Lee added 11 points and seven re-bounds.
