Girls Basketball: Jaguars tip MACCRAY

CLARA CITY — Renville County West used its quickness to create turnovers, which helped it take a one-point win at the MACCRAY gym on Thursday 37-36 in Camden Conference girls basketball.

Sadie Treml, who scored a team-high 11 points, had 6 steals to lead the takeaway column for the Jaguars, who got their first win.

The bright spot for the Wolverines (1-6) was the play of sophomore reserve Emily Orwick who came off the bench to score a team-best 10 points and collect 10 rebounds.

Nine players scored for MACCRAY, which got off 20 fewer shots than the visitors.
