KERKHOVEN -- Dawson-Boyd went on a 5-0 run late in the game and held off Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 59-57 in a Camden Conference girls basketball game on Thursday.

Tied 54-54, the Blackjacks grabbed a 59-54 advantage before KMS closed to 59-56, but a three-pointer that could have tied the game missed. The Fighting Saints cashed a free throw with no time remaining for the final margin.

Kristen Lee paced the Blackjacks (9-7, 13-10) with 20 points and seven rebounds. Kendra Lindblad added 13 points and five assists. Mariah Kuhlmann had 12 points.

Ali Clark had 13 points and Sam Dunn 11 for KMS.

After a slow start, the conference champion Wolverines (13-2, 18-3) pulled away in the second half.

Teagan Molden had 17 points and 11 rebounds for MACCRAY. Jenna Tebben chipped in with 11 points. Andrea Ervin had seven points, four assists and five steals.
