Girls Basketball: Litchfield dips Staples-Motley
LITCHFIELD -- Jamie Wollin tossed in 24 points and made four steals and Litchfield outlasted Staples-Motley 62-56 in a non-conference girls basketball game on Saturday.
The game was tied eight times and had 12 lead changes. Litchfield cashed 7-of-7 free throws in the final 1:30 to pull the game out.
Courtney Euerle had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Dragons (15-8). Wollin made 7-of-7 free throws.
Nikki Pearson led Staples-Motley (14-10) with 16 points and seven rebounds. she connected on four of the Cardinals' 10 three-pointers.Caitlin Robinson had 11 points and Brooke Simonson 10.
