Girls Basketball: MACCRAY notches third straight win

CLARA CITY -- With Alicia Koenen scoring 16 points and Jenna Tebben adding 14 more, MACCRAY won its third straight game by upending Dawson-Boyd 50-43 in a Camden Conference girls basketball game Tuesday.

The Wolverines (2-6, 4-7) owned the lead for the majority of the game and stretched to 13 late in the game.

The Wolverines also got nine rebounds and eight points from Abbey Thissen and six steals from Annie Winter.

Kristen Lee had 19 points and Kelly Swenson trailed with 10 to pace Dawson-Boyd (5-5, 6-7).

RCW's Megan Erickson scored 18 points and held the Bluejays' Briana Wubben without a second-half field goal as the Jaguars squeezed by Central Minnesota Christian.

Erickson, who had been ill the last three days, made three 3-pointers while playing all 36 minutes. Kelsey Brink added 13 points, though limited by early foul trouble.

Wubben had 14 points by halftime, which ended 29-all. She made two free throws the second half. Erin Erickson scored 10 points for CMCS.
