Girls Basketball: Montevideo avenges loss to BOLD, 51-31

MONEVIDEO -- Montevideo avenged an earlier loss to BOLD behind a balanced scoring attack and defeated the Warriors 51-31 in a West Central South Conference girls basketball game on Thursday.

The Thunder Hawks (6-5, 8-9) lost to BOLD 55-50 on Dec. 17 in Olivia.

Karrissa Larson scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Montevideo. Brooke Tastad had eight points, seven rebounds, three assists and seven steals. Ashley Rodeberg had nine points.

Molly Herdina, Brittany Nissen and Brittany Dahlk had eight points apiece for the Warriors.

Justine Dammermann drained five 3-pointers en route to scoring a season-high 15 points for New London-Spicer (10-1, 17-2).

Karli Wendlandt followed with 10 points while Dammermann also had five assists and five steals. Cassie Ziemer also handed out five assists for the Wildcats.
