Girls basketball: Montevideo edges YME
GRANITE FALLS — The Montevideo girls basketball team recovered from a 12-point first half deficit and defeated Yellow Medicine East 45-43 Tuesday in a West Central Conference game.
The Thunder Hawks improved to 13-2 in the WC North and 15-5 overall.
The Sting played well early and posted a 21-9 advantage with about five minutes left in the first half.
But the T-Hawks scrambled back to within three points at the half and took their first lead early in the second half.
