Albany upends Sauk Centre in battle of unbeatens

ALBANY — In a non-conference battle for mid-season supremacy along the I-94 corridor in central Minnesota, the Albany Huskies took down Sauk Centre 58-46.

The Huskies (12-0), who won the Wild-Cat Tournament in December, lead the Granite Ridge Conference and are No. 3 in Section 8AAA behind Fergus Falls and Thief River Falls, also unbeaten.

Sauk Centre suffered its first loss after nine wins to open the season. The Mainstreeters lead the West Central North with a 5-0 record and rate No. 2 in Section 6AA-North behind Staples-Motley.
